§ 1

What you can edit

  • Colors — extract unique colors, replace globally or per-selection, apply brand palettes or dark mode.
  • Text — change content, font family, size, tracking, line height, alignment, and fill color.
  • Layers — reorder, rename, duplicate, hide, delete, and inspect the full layer hierarchy.
  • Transforms — position, scale, rotation, opacity, and in/out timing points.
  • Shapes — fill, stroke, width, size, and corner radius for shape layers.
  • Speed & timing — base speed (0.25×–3×) and a visual speed-curve editor with presets.

§ 2

Supported formats

Import and export .json (standard Lottie), .lot, and .lottie (dotLottie package) files. Drag and drop or browse to open.

§ 3

Why edit Lottie online?

Lottie animations are typically created in After Effects with the Bodymovin plugin. But reopening the original AE project to make a small color change or timing adjustment is slow and expensive — especially when you don't own the AE license or the original project. Pillow Lottie lets you make those edits directly on the JSON file, in seconds, for free.

§ 4

Edit with AI agents: MCP server & API

Prefer to describe the change instead of clicking? Connect your AI assistant to the Pillow Lottie MCP server (or call the REST API from a script). The agent inspects the file, applies the edits — colors, text, crop, trim, speed, optimization — and gives you back the JSON plus a link that opens the result in this editor for a final look.

  • “Change the text "Loading…" to "Завантаження…" and make the animation 1.5× faster.”
  • “Crop the animation to the icon in the center with 16 px padding and export it as 512×512.”
  • “Inspect this file and tell me which layers and colors I can change.”

The server stores nothing: the animation travels with each request, and editor links keep it in the URL fragment (after “#”), which is never sent to any server. Very large files may exceed the free hosting CPU limit — use smaller files or the JSON output.
